Sex o’clock artist talk: Bert Sliggers
Bert Sliggers has been collecting erotica for over thirty years, ranging from small pieces of paper that reveal something exciting only when folded or held up to the light, to books, drawings, and prints. On May 21, he will take you through his collection, which he has researched and written several books about.
Bert Sliggers (1948) is a historian of science. As a curator, he was affiliated with the Teylers Museum in Haarlem, where he organized numerous exhibitions at the intersection of art and science.

Her work unabashedly explores erotic themes, blending feminine desire, humor, and classical beauty with a bold, innovative approach. Drawing inspiration from the intimate world of textiles and personal narratives, she creates immersive installations that invite viewers to celebrate sensuality in all its forms.

Mercy St.J (they/them) is a domme, writer, photographer, community organiser, speech writer and founder of HXSSY: Queer SW Arts & Culture. Interested in all things debaucherous, raunchy, kinky, & profane, they see the erotic both as a creative form of expression and powerful political tool to upturn systems that oppress queers, trans folks, and sex workers.

a.k.a. skips is a Rotterdam-based artist, porn performer, and queer trans man. His talk will explore the trap of public perception, and perversion as the ultimate road to self-acceptance.
This self-taught visual art practice was born in San Francisco’s graffiti culture from the zeroes, in which he was (allegedly) a teenage participant. Now canvas-based and mixing a range of techniques, his work explores his relationship to his body, trauma, power, pleasure, public perception, and his place in the world.
